It has been a rough couple of weeks for me. I have been battling multiple migraines and just feeling kind of blah! I think it could be due in part to the excessive heat the South has been having lately. We are pushing 100 degrees today and into next week with little to no relief is in sight. With all of that, my crafting has taken a major hit. It is really hard to concentrate on a craft project when you have a migraine. But, I’m hoping I’ll be feeling better soon and can get a few more rows of my Poison tote done this week. The bottom of my bag is starting to take shape, but that is about it. It doesn’t really look like much, but I am thrilled that I have actually started this project that has been on my to make list for over 10 years.

If the heat is any indication, summer is quickly approaching. Along with keeping cool and crafting, I need to make sure that this year I include some summer reading to my to do list. I used to take part in a weekly reading/crafting meme that kept me in check with both my reading and crafting. I’m pretty sure that has been discontinued for awhile; the last one that I did using the meme was over 5 years ago. So I am going to start my own reading/crafting meme: Read & Stitch. It is exactly as it sounds. I’ll be posting a pic of what I’m reading and my latest craft project. For now, it will probably be once a month. That is all I’ll be able to read. . . and craft. While my go to reads are usually nonfiction and a lot of craft books, I’d like to add some fiction, specifically cozy mysteries to the mix. So I came up with a little summer reading bingo. I found a cute reading template in Canva and tweaked it a bit for what I want to read this summer. Feel free to play along.
